HomeWise was established in the summer of 1997. Donna Stuart is the owner of HomeWise and has developed her business into a successful and respected company.

Over the course of four years HomeWise has achieved a lot of credentials : HomeWise was a finalist in 1997 for ‘Shell-LiveWire’ competition as a successful start up business, the following year it came second in the country for the same competition and in 2000, HomeWise was chosen out of seven businesses in the West Midlands for Business Venture of the year award.

HomeWise is an Approved Letting Agency in the area. This is an award given only by the Telford & Wrekin Council to agencies that meet the criteria set by the council for good standards and service to the community. Donna Stuart is in a position of trust in the community and was appointed as secretary to the Wrekin Landlords Association, this was formed to keep track of bad tenants and landlords, to give useful advice and help to keep landlords up to date with the property law.

HomeWise is also a member of the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce and the Federation of Small Businesses.

Donna Stuart is the Director of HomeWise. Donna started in the Property Rental business in 1991. She trained with a Property Management franchise company in Coventry, during her time with this business she opened a new office in Leicester. Once the office in Leicester was up and running Donna was given the chance to go and work in Canada, for the same organisation, for six months. In Canada she gained more experience in Property Management and saw different procedures and a different way of operating. Once Donna returned to England she used her knowledge and experience and opened up two new offices, this time down south, in Croydon and London Bridge. Although having to compete against the strong competition of London, the team created a successful business.

After a year in London, Donna returned to Shropshire and worked for a local Property Management company, once again with her enthusiasum and love of the business she built a healthy enterprise. Unfortunately the owner decided to sell the company, which meant Donna had to find something else. With insperation and encouragement from her family she started HomeWise.

Now all her energy is being spent on her own business, which once again has become successful and is respected in the local community.
